Membership Specialists
Berkshire County & Greenfield Service Areas

Summary:
We offer a unique opportunity to work with adult volunteers and girl members and see the difference you make. Your job would be to recruit and retain volunteers & girl members; develop community & business contacts & collaborations; provide on-going support, communication and tools to volunteers and work with volunteers to provide fun and engaging leadership opportunities for girls. Choose Greenfield or Berkshire County service areas. Position combines off-site work in the community & administrative work, which may be home-based. Full-Time, M-F, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m, and involves some evening and weekend work.

Qualifications:
Self-starter w/strong interpersonal, organization & multi-tasking skills
Outreach and/or recruiting experience (work or volunteer) and demonstrated ability to interface within the community and serve as an effective liaison between GSCWM and volunteers, the community and businesses
Strong service orientation
Experience coordinating/facilitating groups & individuals
Girl Scout experience is a plus
Must know assigned area
Valid driver’s license & own vehicle

Membership Outreach Supervisor

Summary:
We seek an outgoing, community-minded individual with experience serving disadvantaged populations to coordinate Girl Scout outreach programs in Springfield, Holyoke & Chicopee. Supervise part-time program leaders. Support and assist program leaders in expanding knowledge of Girl Scout practices and carrying out meaningful group activities in line with GSCWM’s mission. Recruit girls and introduce and expand Girl Scouting opportunities to underserved populations. Work as a team with other membership and program staff to develop creative approaches for membership and outreach development. Expand outreach sites. Some evening & weekend work required.

Qualifications:
Related college degree (e.g. human services, psychology, education sociology) OR extensive direct experience
1 year of supervisory experience
2 years of work or volunteer experience in a community service role, particularly in a role serving disadvantaged populations.
Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus.
Girl Scout experience is preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, e-mail and internet use.
An outgoing self-starter with strong communication, teamwork, professionalism, organization, problem-solving and multi-tasking skills is required.
Must have valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle.
